A new visitor magnet for our EVER.S in #Munich: Last Thursday, Woolworth GmbH opened a new store on a sales area of around 700 square meters. 🥳 Our center manager Björn Alexander Kirschsieper greeted the Woolworth team with a bouquet of flowers in keeping with their status, before the starting signal for the expanded #shopping variety was given in the early hours of the morning.
Leading the way in #Teamplay is what sets us apart as #MEC. This is because we rely on cooperation and the individual strengths of all our colleagues from the various specialist disciplines. Whether from leasing, center, commercial asset, contract or construction management. We live by the motto "One Team" and always develop individual solutions for our almost 80 retail properties across Germany.
Our Bethanien Center #Neubrandenburg has always been worth a visit for exactly 30 years. To mark the #anniversary, our MEC Center team celebrated together with tenants and visitors. Our colleagues came up with a well-balanced program for all guests. 🥳 Four days were dedicated to fun, prizes and a variety of #activities.
NORDSEE GmbH will continue to serve a variety of fresh fish dishes at Förde Park #Flensburg for the next few years. 🐟 🍴 Because the MEC leasing team led by Carine Beaugendre and Nils Grötzner was able to extend a long-term rental agreement with our restaurateur. Since 2013, #Nordsee has been serving all hungry visitors on 100m². We will thus continue our successful #cooperation in the future! 🚀
For more than 50 years, he has provided pop fans with hits to sing along to: Bernhard Brink. On the occasion of his new album "Stärker als Ewigkeit", he visited some of our MEC retail locations, signed autographs and sang some of his new songs. 🎶 🎤
Best retail partners for best locations: Last Friday, SB Möbel Boss opened in our Bethanien Center. From now on, furniture dreams will come true on over 5,000m² in #Neubrandenburg. The omnichannel discounter offers kitchens, furniture for all living areas, upholstered furniture, home textiles and home accessories at affordable prices. 🙌
Good #news for our Halle Center Peißen: Our MEC leasing team around Jürgen Dietz has been able to conclude a long-term rental agreement with Kaufland Deutschland. 🎉After “mein real” moves out, the retail property will receive a new grocer. Our new anchor tenant is taking over a large part of the former Real space, creating space for up to two specialist stores at the same time.
Welcome back, Arne Schiek! We are pleased that our colleague is back on board Team MEC. 🙌 He has recently become our new center manager in the Fulda enamel factory and other MEC retail properties. From 2014 to 2021, he was responsible for various MEC locations in the same position and therefore brings with him concentrated know-how in center management.
The feed house has been enriching the Dreieich Nordpark for almost two weeks now. 🐶🐱🐰 Since then, pet lovers can look forward to a large selection of pet food and accessories on 775m². The retailer thus moved into a new area of the former Real market. This was made possible by the interdisciplinary MEC team.
Our interdisciplinary team MEC at the EKZ #Abensberg gives full strength. With the takeover of the shopping center in the first quarter, we as a retail real estate specialist not only expanded our portfolio, but also strengthened our presence in the region.
The #European #Football Championship, which has been attracting people to German stadiums and TVs since June 14th, will be a real hit. Of course, our MEC retail properties should not be left out in this new summer fairy tale and so many of our location teams invite the guests on site for one or two entertaining breaks in the game.
Our MEC team has once again proven that cohesion and social #commitment are very important to us. In a joint campaign, we handed over a hashtag donation of 3,000 euros to the Butterfly Initiative in #Neuss. The organization supports families with children who have life-shortened illnesses, are severely disabled or have died, and thus does very important work.
In our center Schöneweide #Berlin there is #News. For a good week now, JYSK has been enriching our location with a new store concept after four weeks of renovation. On June 10th was the celebratory #opening of the completely renovated area. The store offers its well-known wide range of high-quality furniture, home accessories, mattresses and home textiles at affordable prices.
When people talk about the modern development of commercial real estate, the MEC is of course there. You can therefore find us in the recently published EHI Shopping Center Report 2024 by the EHI Retail Institute 📢 You can read how the MEC is turning stationary retail into a digital hipster in the current issue. We're talking about "I LIKE!", the social studio in the Stern-Center Lüdenscheid, which connects the offline and online worlds.
In cooperation with our Oder-Center Hashtag#Schwedt and the PCK refinery as a supporter, the association “Schwedter Blutsbrüdertour e.V.” organized the traditional motorcycle tour last Saturday. Over 200 bikers from all over Germany and Poland and around 400 event participants took part in the joint ride - especially to donate blood. 🏍️
Kick-off!!! There are only three weeks left until the European Football Championship in Germany. This European Championship could be a summer fairy tale 2.0. A star of the summer fairy tale from 2006 was a guest at our Stern Center Lüdenscheid yesterday and is starting an exclusive MEC tour through other of our retail locations: professional footballer David Odonkor.
Our ORO #Schwabach invited the whole family on a special trip for three weeks. Thanks to the #Experiential Exhibition 'Mission Ocean', our center visitors had unforgettable experiences that made it clear how important it is to protect our oceans. 🌍👪
There are currently a lot of positive changes happening in our Ostsee Park #Rostock: New retailers are being added, while established tenants are converting their sales areas and are therefore relying on new sales concepts.
Traditional #event in our Schlössle Galerie #Pforzheim: The “Day of the Clubs” recently took place for the 13th time. Since its inception, the day has had the goal of giving local clubs a free presentation opportunity and thus attracting new members.
We enable our new colleagues to think outside the box! The MEC #Onboarding Camp started recently and is now entering its final phase. All MEC newbies who have been part of Team MEC for several months can take part in the established digital format. This gives each of them the opportunity to get to know all of MEC’s departments better.
