MEC receives a new mandate with Schlössle Galerie
• Specialist in the operation of commercial real estate records acquisition success
• MEC growth strategy also continued beyond classic retail parks
Growth in the MEC portfolio: On July 1, 2023, the retail property specialist and national market leader for the operation of retail parks will take over the management of the Schlössle Galerie Pforzheim. The order comes from real estate investor Real I.S., which has held the property in an open-ended AIF portfolio fund from the successful BGV series since 2012. The mandate for the MEC includes the entire center and location management, the technical property management and the leasing of the retail space.
“As a modern shopping center, the Schlössle Galerie Pforzheim is an enrichment for our order portfolio. At the same time, we are continuing our growth strategy beyond classic retail parks,” says Christian Schröder, COO of MEC. "We are very pleased about the trust of Real I.S. and the order."
The three-story shopping center, the Schlössle Galerie, is in a prime location in downtown Pforzheim at Westliche Karl-Friedrich-Strasse 80. There are over 40 retail, service and catering options on the approximately 20,000 square meter rental space. These include well-known chain stores such as Jack&Jones, Only, Vero Moda, H&M, Intersport, New Yorker and the Müller drugstore.
