New design concept and upgrade for families

With the takeover of the management by MEC in 2017, refurbishment at the Spitzkrug Multi Center in Frankfurt (Oder) started directly. The complete architectural appearance of the Spitzkrug Multi Center was modernized. The visual redesign starts with the center logo, which was given a dynamic and modern look. Existing design elements, such as the Bordeaux red as the center color from the color band at the main entrance, were incorporated to implement a uniform color concept. The design concept of white and Bordeaux-red stripes is now also used in the interior of the center.

The aim here was to make the shopping street brighter and friendlier and thus improve the quality of stay. To achieve this, staircase-like ceiling panels above the store fronts were painted white. New luminaires were installed as part of the new lighting concept. The luminous strips run as a fine, bordeaux-red stripe centrally through the entire shopping street.

With this new design, the tenants' logos have been given an attractive and uniform placement, making them even more eye-catching for customers. The red band, which is already on the front of the building, now runs around the entire center. This has created a uniform appearance with a pleasant ambience on all facades. Another focal point in the exterior design are the five entrances. These have been upgraded with red cladding and glow at night, creating a warm atmosphere.

In addition, the outdoor area for families was upgraded accordingly: lawns were renewed from scratch and enlivened by various grasses and framed by new, attractive paving. A play area with special play sculptures and additional seating have since created more quality of stay.
