MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG will be taking over center, property and leasing management of the retail park “Dreieich Nordpark”, located near Frankfurt am Main, as of 1 November 2013. Henderson Global Investors has commissioned MEC for the management of the approximately 23,500 square metre retail park, which is part of the portfolio of the Henderson European Retail Property Fund (HERALD).
The Dreieich Nordpark is around 10 kilometres south of Frankfurt am Main in Dreieich-Sprendlingen and was revitalised in 2011. Over the past few months, a completely new, modern branding was developed and implemented in order to introduce and establish the site as a retail park in the catchment area for the first time after the renaming. The Nordpark in Dreieich is conveniently situated close to the A661 and A3 motorways and has more than 2,100 free and partly covered parking spaces. On a leasing space of approximately 23,500 square metre, the retail park has 18 specialist stores and shops offering all products for daily use under one roof. The two largest tenants in the Nordpark are the Real hypermarket and the Decathlon sporting goods store.
“We are delighted that this is the third site, the management of which Henderson has entrusted to us,” comments Christian Schröder, COO of MEC. “Given the good experience of our collaboration to date, we anticipate an expansion of our cooperation with MEC for our steadily growing portfolio,” adds Steffen Hofmann, Head of Retail at Henderson Global Investors in Germany.
