MEC receives three new locations from KGAL
Property management for an area of 40,000 square meters
Die MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG hat zum 1. Dezember 2019 für drei neue Standorte ein Property Management Mandat des Investment- und Assetmanagers KGAL erhalten. Dabei handelt es sich um drei überwiegend voll vermietete Handelsimmobilien in Waiblingen, Roth und Brackenheim.
Campus Center Lübeck: New mandate for the MEC on 16.12.2019
As of December 16th, 2019, MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH took over the complete management of Campus Center Lübeck. The contract comes from the real estate investor Nuveen Real Estate, which acquired the retail park with local supply character in 2019 for its German core retail platform. Jens Fischer, who has been managing various locations for MEC since 2011, will be responsible for the center manager of Campus Center Lübeck.
MEC leases 12,800 m² on a long-term basis
Kaufland, Adler Mode and Medimax extend rental contracts at Spitzkrug Multi Center Frankfurt (Oder)
The food retailer Kaufland, the textile retailer Adler Mode and the consumer electronics retailer Medimax are extending their rental contracts in the Spitzkrug Multi Center in Frankfurt (Oder) for the long term. The contract negotiations were conducted by the leasing team of MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG.

MEC operates new center in Munich-Allach: EVER.S opens on July 18th
After a total of four years of construction, the EVER.S shopping center will celebrate its opening on July 18th, 2019. The 14,300 m² district centre in Munich-Allach was developed by MOEG GmbH. MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG is now responsible for center management and will also take over the property management from October 1st, 2019.
New shopping gallery in EDU Duckwitz Shopping Center celebrates opening for two days
A breath of fresh air for shopping in Bremen, and fresh music on the stage. The EDU Duckwitz Shopping Center has good cause to celebrate: after a year under construction, the new shopping gallery inside the popular Bremen shopping center will be festively opened to the public. On 17 and 18 May, the center will be inviting all comers to a big opening ceremony. On both days, from 11 am to 6 pm, there will be numerous activities to attract visitors.

Resources for technical management strengthened
The new organizational structure introduced by MEC last year for the technical management of the centers in its management is having an impact. Since 2018, MEC employs eight Technical Managers to improve the ongoing technical support of the sites. Five of them were newly hired.

At 26, Vera Löwe is the youngest Center Manager at MEC. After successfully completing the MEC internal trainee programme, she has been Center Manager at RemsPark Waiblingen, since July 1st, 2018. Vera Löwe explains to us what motivates her, what daily challenges she masters and what plans for the future she has for her center.
