TH Real Estate commissions MEC once again

The firm MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement is taking over the commercial and technical property, centre and letting management for the Huma Shopping Park in the Bavarian town of Schwabach as of May 1. The assignment comes from TH Real Estate, which has acquired the Hybrid Center for the Core German Retail Fund (CGRF) from Jost Hurler Beteiligungs und Verwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG.

"We are very satisfied with the expansion progress of MEC. In the fifth year of our existence we have continued to strengthen our position as the market leader for retail parks and shopping centres for the specialist retail trade," explains the COO of MEC, Christian Schröder.

Huma Schwabach
The centre, which opened in 1975, is located about 20 kilometres south of Nuremberg in the immediate vicinity of the A6 motorway.
In 2012 the property was completely modernised and refurbished, evolving from a specialist retail park into a hybrid mall. In architectural terms the focal point is the large, light-flooded marketplace at the centre of the building, where cafes and restaurants have become established. Over a total lettable area of approximately 36,600m² on two floors there are 37 shops and specialist retail stores, including the anchor tenants Real, Media Markt, Toys 'R' Us, dm-drogerie markt and Intersport Vosswinkel. Numerous service and catering providers round off the range of offers at the site.
1,400 free parking spaces provide ample parking for visitors.
