MEC leases 74,000 m² of retail space in the first half of 2025

MEC, a specialist in the management of retail locations, remains on course for growth in the first half of 2025. A total of 124 new and follow-up leases with a total area of around 74,000 m² were concluded at MEC's retail locations during this period. One particular highlight is the Halle Center Peißen, where MEC is demonstrating its comprehensive management and implementation expertise.

"Our strong half-year result shows that we are continuing to achieve high letting performance even after the completion of many major re-letting projects. I am particularly pleased that we are also successfully and consistently implementing our concepts at our locations. The Halle Center Peißen is a good example of this," says Christian Thiele, Head of Leasing Management at MEC.

Successful location management at Halle Center Peißen

A location-specific letting concept was developed for Halle Center Peißen in 2023 in close coordination between the center management, commercial asset management and the MEC leasing team as well as the owner. The aim was to bring the sector and tenant mix up to date and to continue to attract successful existing tenants to the location.
