MEC leases 12,800 m² on a long-term basis

Kaufland, Adler Mode and Medimax extend rental contracts at Spitzkrug Multi Center Frankfurt (Oder)

Der Lebensmittelhändler Kaufland, der Textileinzelhändler Adler Mode sowie der Elektrofachmarkt Medimax verlängern langfristig ihre Mietverträge im Spitzkrug Multi Center in Frankfurt (Oder). Die Vertragsverhandlungen führte das Leasingteam der MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG.

Kaufland is convinced of the location

Kaufland has signed a new long-term lease agreement for its 8,000m² rental space in the Spitzkrug Multi Center in Frankfurt (Oder). The hypermarket has been one of the anchor tenants since the opening of the hybrid center in 1993 and continues to tie itself to the property on a long-term basis.

"We are very satisfied with the development of our market in the Spitzkrug Multi Center and are pleased that we continue to be a frequency anchor," says Bastian Rudelt, Project Manager Real Estate Kaufland.

Adler Mode and Medimax commit to the property for the long term

Adler Mode has also been one of the anchor tenants in the Spitzkrug Multi Center from the very beginning and has extended its lease agreement for an area of 3,100m² on a long-term basis.

Medimax has been a tenant in the Spitzkrug Multi Center since 1999 and will now also remain in the property for the long term with it's electronics store of 1,700m². "The center is and will remain a very attractive location for us," says Kristin Heilig, franchise partner at MEDIMAX.

350,000 customers per month

The Spitzkrug Multi Center in Frankfurt (Oder) with its glass pyramid roof has become a trademark of retail far beyond the city. Around 350,000 customers shop in the center every month. With a share of around 10 percent, it is also a popular shopping destination for visitors from Poland.

The rental area of around 25,000m² is currently home to almost 70 shops, including Kaufland, Adler, MEDIMAX, Rossmann and Dänisches Bettenlager. The center is located on the northern outskirts of Frankfurt (Oder), directly next to the B5 federal highway, and can also be easily reached by public transport.

MEC manages the Spitzkrug Multi Center since 2017

Das 1993 eröffnete Spitzkrug Multi Center ist das größte Einkaufszentrum Ostbrandenburgs. Seit November 2017 befindet sich das Center im Management der MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG. Operativ wird das Center- und technische Property Management vor Ort von der CENTIM Centermanagement- und Immobilienverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH übernommen, die im Auftrag der MEC agiert.
