MEC takes over management of Calwer Passage in Stuttgart

MEC, a leading manager of retail locations in Germany, is taking over the management of Calwer Passage in Stuttgart. The mixed-use complex in the heart of the state capital is owned by the Versicherungskammer Group. With this mandate, MEC is expanding its involvement in the management of sophisticated retail properties in city center locations.

MEC is applying its integrated service concept comprising center, technical, and leasing management at Calwer Passage. This ensures efficient operation, close support for tenants, and sustainable further development of the location.

The Calwer Passage has been a central retail location in Stuttgart for over 40 years. Following extensive redevelopment, it is now a mixed-use property with retail, restaurants, offices, and residential units. Its distinctive glass vaulted ceiling houses around 25 stores, including local and independent retailers, creating a diverse and charming shopping environment.

A special feature of the location is the striking green façade, which, with over 2,000 planters and a roof forest, is a visible symbol of sustainable urban development.
