MEC to manage retail park in the capital

MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement takes over the commercial and technical property, center and leasing management for Zentrum Schöneweide in Berlin. The assignment comes from KGAL Group in Grünwald which acquired the retail park for their special AIF earlier this year.

“We are glad to manage this third location in Berlin. Among other things, the popularity of the capital is reflected by a constantly increasing demographic development. This also has a positive effect on the number of people visiting our centers,“ says Christian Schröder, CEO of MEC.

Zentrum Schöneweide

Zentrum Schöneweide in Berlin Treptow-Köpenick was opened in 2003, and has established itself as a district center. The two-storey Center with an attached office and medical center is located next to a single-storey specialist retailer block. 46 shops and specialist retailers spread over approximately 22,000 m² of rental space, some of which are the anchor tenants Kaufland, Media Markt, C&A, Rossmann and Deichmann. The Center is provided with almost 750 free parking spaces and has a direct connection to the suburban railway station Berlin-Schöneweide.
