MEC ends the year with a bang: 5 new centers at a single stroke

Das gab es noch nie: Die MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG bekommt ein Mandat für gleich fünf neue Center. Dabei handelt es sich um das kürzlich von TH Real Estate erworbene United-Portfolio mit den Standorten Ostkreuz Center Oststeinbek, Helvetia Parc Groß-Gerau, Löwen Center Leipzig sowie den beiden Real SB-Warenhaus Standorten in Weimar und Frankfurt (Oder). TH Real Estate ruft dafür das komplette Leistungsangebot der MEC ab: Kaufmännisches und technisches Property-, Center- sowie Vermietungsmanagement.

“The implementation of five new locations is only possible because we now have many standardised processes, and the teams at MEC are highly experienced. With the Löwen Center in Leipzig, we are also getting an old friend back in our portfolio,” explains Christian Schröder, COO of MEC.

Ostkreuz Center Oststeinbek

The Ostkreuz Center located directly on the A1 autobahn, east of Hamburg, was built in 1976 and totally revitalised in 2013. Renowned vendors such as Real, Media Markt and Futterhaus are spread over a rental space of almost 40,000 m². The plot is a good 100,000 m² in size, and in addition to 1,500 free parking spaces it is also home to a petrol station and car wash, and the furniture discounter Sconto.

Helvetia Parc Groß-Gerau

The Helvetia Parc in Groß-Gerau, south-west of Frankfurt, opened in 2008 and offers a large range of retail traders over a rental space of around 30,000 m². More than 30 tenants are accommodated at this established location, including Aldi, Rewe, Medimax, Deichmann, dm-drogerie markt and Toom Baumarkt. In the evening hours, frequency of visits is ensured at the location by the bowling alley, fitness studio, Burger King and Subway. The A67 autobahn is a short 1.5 km away, and 920 free parking spaces and an ATU garage on the premises round off the facilities available at the Helvetia Parc.

Löwen Center Leipzig

The two-storey retail park in the west of Leipzig has over 30 shops, offering a diverse industry mix. Alongside the magnet tenants Real, Roller, Obi, Deichmann, Rossmann and Expert, there are numerous services and culinary businesses spread over the 45,000 m² of rental space. There are 1,600 free parking spaces available for visitors, and a bus stop directly at the center.
