De-Gasperi-Passage Norderstedt new in the MEC portfolio

MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement took over the commercial and technical property, center and leasing management of the De-Gasperi-Passage Norderstedt . The order came from TH Real Estate, which purchased the retail park for the Core German Retail Fund (CGRF).

“The De-Gasperi-Passage in Norderstedt was only recently revitalised and expanded. The property is persuasive, both because of its attractive tenant composition and because of its proximity to Hamburg, and is an excellent addition to the portfolio of the fund,” says Kathrin Andres, Head of Retail Assets at TH Real Estate. “We are delighted to have another modern location and are convinced that we will be able to strengthen the De-Gasperi-Passage with an active centermanagement,” says Christian Schröder, Chief Operations Officer of MEC, welcoming the addition of the 46th center to the MEC portfolio.

De-Gasperi-Passage Norderstedt

Together with the neighbouring Herold-Center, the De-Gasperi-Passage represents the central retail location in Norderstedt. Built in 1972 and last revitalised from 2013 to 2015, the retail park today has a rental space of around 24,000 m², and 15 shops. Alongside anchor tenants Karstadt, Saturn and Rewe, the tenants include service providers and a fitness studio. The center has more than 400 free parking spaces, and is characterised by excellent accessibility using public transport (metro, bus). The U1, which connects Norderstedt with the Hamburg municipal area, is used daily by many commuters.
