Cushman & Wakefield brokers 1.700m² office space to expanding MEC

The Düsseldorf office leasing team of the international real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has brokered 1,700m² of office space in the FRITZ office building in Düsseldorf to MEC. For expansion reasons, the move will take place in the spring of next year and will enable MEC to establish a new-work working environment. The owner of the multi-tenant office building is the globally active investor Westbrook Partners.

The FRITZ office building, built in 1993, is located at Fritz-Vomfelde-Strasse 14-20 and has a total area of 16,841m². "With the placement of MEC in FRITZ we have found a perfect match", says Luisa Rotthaus, Head of Office Agency Düsseldorf at Cushman & Wakefield. The property meets the requirements of the new tenant exactly and is also conveniently located in the immediate vicinity of the previous company headquarters at Am Albertussee. The office building there will be converted into a residential building by the project developer Pandion after MEC moves out.

For years, MEC has been successfully managing retail properties with interdisciplinary teams of specialists, tailored to the customer's requirements and the respective location. In the flexible building structure of the FRITZ, it can now implement the appropriate modern working environment according to the basic principle of "Activity Based Working". For different activities such as collaboration, concentration and communication, the appropriate work zone is available. "In this way, we will create ideal conditions for our team-oriented working method in the FRITZ, in which productivity, flexibility and fun at work are perfectly combined," says Kienert.

The interior design is currently being planned and implemented according to the individual specifications of MEC.
