­Campus Center Lübeck: New mandate for the MEC on 16.12.2019

As of December 16th, 2019, MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH took over the complete management of Campus Center Lübeck. The contract comes from the real estate investor Nuveen Real Estate, which acquired the retail park with local supply character in 2019 for its German core retail platform. Jens Fischer, who has been managing various locations for MEC since 2011, will be responsible for the center manager of Campus Center Lübeck.

Local supply center with an attractive mix of sectors

The Campus Center, which was built in 2007 and extensively modernized in 2016, is located on the Bundesstraße 207, which leads directly into the city centre of Lübeck. In 2016, the former Mönkhof Karree was renamed Campus Center and given a new, modern look. In the course of the modernization, popular anchor tenants such as Real, Aldi, Alnatura and Rossmann have secured their location.

On the 15,000 m² rental area, there are attractive retail spaces from approximately 20 other tenants, including well-known textile chain stores such as Deichmann, Bonita, Kik and Ernsting's family as well as the telecommunications providers Telekom, o2 and mobilcom debitel. The pharmacy Pinguin, Apollo Optik, Reinigung Waschkrug and Campus Buchhandlung round off the offer at Campus Center Lübeck. The gastronomy is varied and contemporary. Ari Grill also offers vegan and vegetarian meals.

Easily accessible for young target groups

Via a total of two main entrances, customers can visit the modern property. The single-story retail park is easily accessible due to the multiple-sided access and has 610 parking spaces.

The potential catchment area of the Campus Center in the Lübeck university district of St. Jürgen is a 15-minute drive. 20,000 commuters pass through the building every day, which is glazed in the direction of the city square. The catchment area stretches from Bad Schwartau to Ratzeburg and comprises approximately 190,000 inhabitants.

The property can be reached from Lübeck main station within 8 minutes by public transport. The Campus Center is located within walking distance of the University of Applied Sciences Lübeck and the University of Lübeck and is therefore in the focus of the younger target groups.
