De Gasperi Passage: Home and decoration retailer Rusta follows Karstadt Sport

Nice prospects for Norderstedt: Rusta, the Scandinavian specialist for home, garden and leisure items, will be the new anchor tenant in De-Gasperi-Passage with more than 2,500 m² of retail space. With the signing of the long-term lease, the successful starting shot has been given for the re-letting of the former Karstadt space. The building application for a tailor-made expansion of the area has already been submitted, so that, according to the current planning, the opening will take place in autumn this year.

"We are delighted to have found a highly attractive new tenant in Rusta who perfectly complements the location's tenant mix," says MEC leasing manager Carine Beaugendre. Letting talks with other interested parties from various industries are currently in full swing. A flexible design of the existing space according to the wishes of the new tenants is possible. "Our goal is to help shape the shopping landscape in Norderstedt in the future with tailor-made offers and thus to keep it attractive for all visitors," said Beaugendre.

The De-Gasperi-Passage in Norderstedt is part of a special fund managed by Nuveen and was extensively revitalized and expanded in 2016. The property is only a few minutes by car north of Hamburg and is directly adjacent to the Herold Center. On the 23,870 m² rental space, customers can choose from a range of more than ten retail stores, including Saturn and Rewe.
