MEC Takes Over Management of the Seidnitz Center in Dresden

Deka and MEC Continue Their Successful Partnership with a Fourth Retail Location

MEC, specialist in the management and development of retail locations, is taking over management of the Seidnitz Center in Dresden on behalf of Deka. The retail park on Enderstraße comprises approximately 34,000 square meters of leasable space and 27 stores. Anchor tenants include REWE, ALDI, and Action.

For MEC, the continuous development of the retail destination is a top priority. This includes a tenant mix tailored to the location and operations that take into account both the tenants’ needs and the customers’ expectations.

“A retail destination like the Seidnitz Center needs a management team that takes both day-to-day operations and long-term development into account. This is exactly where our experience comes into play: We understand the needs of retailers and are working to strengthen the center’s appeal and sustainability over the long term,” says Christian Schröder, CEO of MEC.

With the Seidnitz Center, Deka is transferring its fourth retail location to MEC’s management. The two companies are thus continuing their successful partnership.

MEC will be exhibiting at EXPO REAL in Munich from October 5 to 7, 2026, and will be available for discussions at Booth 340 in Hall B2.
