MEC, the specialist in commercial real estate management, significantly ex-pands the portfolio of commercial sites it operates. The D\u00fcsseldorf-based company has now entered into an agreement with the investment consultancy SCP Group to manage eight German commercial sites with a total rental area of approximately 130,000 square meters. With the expansion of its portfolio, MEC now operates nearly 80 commercial sites nationwide, covering over 1.7 million square meters of rental space.\u00a0

The mandate includes commercial properties in Bochum, Duisburg, Edingen-Neckarhausen, Ha\u00dfloch, Hildesheim, Kaiserslautern, Cologne, and Schwerin. This encompasses large single sites as well as the operation of established retail parks, including the Duisburg Mercator Center, the Sieben Seen Center in Schwerin, and the Pfalz Center in Kaiserslautern.
MEC not only takes over the management of the properties for SCP but also brings its own leasing expertise and extensive network of retail tenants to the site operations. Additionally, MEC will collaborate with SCP to further optimize some of the properties.
